Dr. Stephen M. Ward
MD, Yale University School of Medicine, Internal Medicine Specialist
Dr. Ward is originally from Smithtown, NY. He graduated from the US Coast Guard Academy in 1997. He served as a deck-watch officer on the USCGC DURABLE (WMEC 628) then was stationed at the Coast Guard's Marine Safety Office Tampa. Following 5 years of active duty, Dr. Ward graduated from Yale School of Medicine in 2006.
This was followed by Internal Medicine Internship & Residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland ME. For the past 15 years, Dr. Ward has practiced in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings in rural and urban areas of Maine, Michigan, New York and Connecticut.
Dr. Ward has extensive experience in primary care. He's comfortable managing complex medical patients with compassion, keeping them home and keeping them out of the hospital. As a hospitalist, Dr. Ward cares for inpatients on medical/surgical units as well as the ICU. Both in person and remote, Dr. Ward delivers world-class care to you. You are the patient. He believes in "shared decision making," working with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that meets your unique needs and goals.
Zaid S. Baha, DO
Collaborating Psychiatrist
Zaid S. Baha, DO, is the collaborating psychiatrist for Great Lakes Integrated Health. He owns and operates Premier Psych, PLC, in Southfield, Michigan and is the former Medical Director for Crisis Services at Genesee Health System in Flint, Michigan.
He received his medical degree from the Western University of Health Sciences and completed his residency in psychiatry at Detroit Wayne County Health Authority.
Dr. Baha's research interests focus on psychiatry and crisis services. Dr. Baha is originally from Orange County, California. He moved to Michigan during his psychiatric residency at Detroit Wayne County Health Authority.
Dr. Baha's passion lies in crisis work, seeing people in their most vulnerable state in an emergency setting. Dr. Baha has experience working in many different fields of psychiatry, including, but not limited to correctional psychiatry (performing evaluations for pre-trial and post-trial criminal sex offenders), refugee medicine, emergency psychiatry and interventional psychiatry. Dr. Baha's family arrived to the USA in the 1970's from Afghanistan and was born in Anaheim, CA. His most memorable experiences as a provider include providing psychiatric services to Afghan minors who arrived without guardians to the United States when American troops withdrew from Afghanistan in June of 2021.
Dr. Baha enjoys spending his free time with his son visiting museums, bowling and traveling.
